Return Policy

Whitebark Silver’s top priority is customer satisfaction. I take pride in the quality of my work, and want you to get as much enjoyment out of your pieces as possible. As a very small, independent business, I cannot take returns for reasons other than fabrication failures. I understand that purchasing a piece of my jewelry is an investment. My product photos and listings are as accurate as possible to ensure you understand what you are buying before placing an order. When purchasing rings, please know your size before ordering, as I cannot resize rings. Whitebark Silver jewelry is crafted carefully from high quality metals and stones and if cared for properly, will last more than a lifetime. I take care to closely inspect my work before shipping it to you, but if there does end up being an issue with the fabrication (ie. a joint comes apart easily, a stone starts to rattle) please contact me at cowinn46@gmail.com as soon as possible with and explanation of the fabrication issue and photos of said issue. Upon approval, I will either repair or replace your item, or accept a return for in-store credit only. I do not accept returns due to broken or damaged jewelry. If treated properly, your jewelry will last many years. Please reach out to me with any other questions or concerns.

Shipping

Each order is manually processed and packaged by myself. All pre-made, one-of-a-kind items will ship within 5 business days after you place your order. All made-to-order pieces (Items I make special for you upon your order placement) will be fabricated within 1-3 weeks and shipped within 5 business days after completion. All made-to-order pieces are labeled as such in their item descriptions. I use USPS for all my shipping and ship USPS Priority Mail which automatically includes $100 in package insurance. Contact me @cowinn46@gmail.com immediately upon placing your order if you would like to purchase additional insurance. Your tracking number will be sent to your email following shipment of your package. Currently, I only ship to addresses within the United States. I am not responsible for lost or stolen packages after they are dropped off at the post office.

Jewelry Care

My jewelry is made primarily from sterling silver. Occasionally my jewelry will include 14k gold-fill, 14k gold, and brass. Sterling silver and brass both tarnish over time, especially when exposed to moisture and oils. I now provide a small polishing cloth with every order which should be used to maintain the shine of the metals. This cloth will not last forever, so I recommend purchasing Sunshine brand polishing cloths to keep your jewelry polished for decades to come. To protect the metals and stones, remove your jewelry when washing hands, bathing, applying cosmetics, using cleaning products, or exercising. softer, more porous stones such as opals and turquoise will be even more susceptible to damage. I also do not recommend using and ultrasonic cleaner for pieces with stones, as the stones may be damaged. Do not wear your jewelry while bathing in hot springs, as the sulphur will immediately oxidize the metal and cause it to blacken. While These are important guidelines to try and stick to, I know that life happens, and sometimes jewelry gets damaged or lost.
